Know your iPad before choosing a charging port repair
Some iPads look almost identical — and even share the same screen size — while using completely different charging port parts.
Take the iPad 9th and 10th generation. Both are around 10 inches and look similar from the front, but the iPad 9th generation uses a Lightning port while the iPad 10th generation uses USB-C. Even iPads with the same connector type can use different port assemblies, and on some models the port is part of a flex cable while on others it is more closely integrated with the main board.
That difference matters because the exact model determines which charging port fits your iPad, how involved the repair is and how much it costs. Choosing by appearance or connector type alone can easily lead to the wrong part or price.
You can find your model in Settings → General → About, or by checking the model number printed on the back of the iPad. If your iPad won’t power on, bring it to MrFix and we’ll identify the model for you before confirming your charging port option and exact repair price.
