Know your MacBook before choosing a battery repair
Some MacBooks look almost identical — and even share the same screen size — while using completely different batteries.
Take the 13-inch MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro. From the outside they can look very similar, but they use different battery packs, and even the same product line changes battery design between years and between Intel and Apple silicon models. On many models the battery cells are glued into the case, while on others the battery is more closely integrated with the top case and keyboard assembly.
That matters because the exact model determines which battery fits your MacBook, how involved the repair is and how much it costs. Choosing by appearance or screen size alone can easily lead to the wrong part or price.
You can find your model in Apple menu → About This Mac, or by checking the model number (starting with “A”) printed on the underside of the MacBook. If your MacBook won’t power on, bring it to MrFix and we’ll identify the model for you before confirming your battery option and exact repair price.
